At the end of windsurfing season 2001, I started windsurfing. The first few years I surfed around 2-4 times a month, but once I got my drivers licence, I went surfing more and more. I can remember the days I was happy when I was able to fall less than 10 times a day.
At the holidays with my parents (france biscarosse, spain rosas, france hyeres) I've been learning a lot more of windsurfing. I can remember I was trying the gibe in spain and one year later I made perfect (speed) jibes in france.
Now I gybe easily and participate in more disciplines (slalom / raceboard / formula / freemove / wave). Slalom is the discipline I love the most!

Update 2007:
This year (2007) I will be at the starts of the gooimeercup (slalom), the NK slalom, the NK formula and more events. Since this year I also have GPS, so I can check how 'slow' I go!
Update 2008:
Now I'm writing this, at the start of the 2008 season, I already had a few nice days in Holland and in Gruissan (France). Speeds are starting to get serious. All disciplines (Formula, slalom, speed) are going great, but I still have to learn a lot, especially in the discipline of competition.
I'm also looking forward to the real days, where it has to happen, setting my PR again and passing the 70 km/h limit. Right now my PR is about 68 km/h max, surfing 90-110 degrees, which is not ideal.
Update 2010:
In 2008 I passed the 70km/h mark with speed and ended top 20 in the dutch nationals.
In 2009 I graduated my bachelor of engineering and ended top 25 in the nationals.
The goal for 2010 is to end top 15 in the nationals (slalom end formula) and get some higher speeds around 76km/h. Getting as much TOW as possible is important for me, and have fun!!
